That's what it was. It was one of the honestly, one of the coolest cameos. I know this is very random and very off topic. You know us. But Montel Jordan does a cameo. Okay? So he is handsome. He is so handsome, and he He was so genuine and kind in the cameo and he never It really did. So he was a great one. So if you're ever looking for a cameo for someone, Montel Jordan, and he'll sit he'll give you a little. This is how we do it. And the voice is still there. And he he goes right into the voice, like, stemming from talking, and you're just, like, people that can do that, like, who were saying it the other day, Sheena? Yeah. She she? Yeah. She just she can just be like, yeah. And then but it doesn't it doesn't sound like how I dress on it. It sounds like a fucking goddess of love. Sheena can literally be talking to you and in the middle of the sentence, we'll just belt out a note and you're like, And you just stand there and stare at her. Stupid. That skill that you have. Stop that. That's stupid, Sheena. Remember when we, like, first like, hung out with her, and she sang for us. And it was, like, the most insane thing on the planet. Cry. She no. Literally. Yeah. Like, Sheena Mawani for the win. Yeah. Also, go check out our music on Spotify. Yeah. Go find it anywhere, really. To her entrance podcast. Together. It's called Sheena interrupted because she is. It's funny. But, yeah, so those pluggy plug plugs for all the cool That's our friend Montel Jordan. You know, our friend's Montel. It's like our friend Montel Jordan and our friend Sheena Mawani. I'm just counting him among friends at this point. But yeah. For excite a couple of exciting things. So one exciting thing for my for my ghosties out there my ghouls, my galettes, my glaze. I know you saw that announcement. I know you saw that ghost announcement. I walked into the room and Elena just held

The dark pencils angel. So, yeah, so if you need a palate cleanser, head on over there. But we are at the conclusion of the Gein saga. Oh. And we got through the worst of it, I would say. This is really the wrap up. This is what happened afterwards. This is kinda where he fits in into, kind of pop culture at this point, how that evolved. We told you I told you all the terrible stuff in the last episode. That was for sure the heaviest one, which is why we needed a little bit of a breather for this one. When we last left you, he had been found and caught and Yeah. Was not super forthcoming about what was happening. Every once in a while, he would spill spill his guts a little bit, but he was he was pretty tight lipped. But that led to a lot of people speculating. There was lots of cannibalism, necrophilia talk, all these rumors. None of them were substantiated at the time. They were just rumors because of the macabre and very ghoulish reality of that house and what they found. They weren't really going very far to find these rumors. It was just kind of naturally occurring out of this because no one had ever seen anything like this before and probably never did again. Yeah. I mean, this is a very and I think that's why this case, and I'll talk about it later, but I think that's why this case is so enduring. Is because it's just what the fuck. It's like All over the place. What the fuck. And especially at this time in period, it's like this was like, what the fuck? And in the Midwest, it's like, you know, America's heartland. And it's like tiny little town where nothing's happening. Town, and everybody and everybody knew this guy. That was the other thing. It's not like this. And it wasn't the weirdo that no one ever talked to and no one knew anything about him. They knew everything about this guy. They grew up with him. Right? You babysat their kids. Stop telling you that. I know. I can't help it, but As these rumors of cannibalism and necrophilia are spreading like wildfire, investigators were working very diligently in an attempt to get

Orally gray cities on either coast. Oh, wow. Not in the center of the country. This is just formal shit. But still, I'm sure a lot of people look back and were like, I wish I'd said something there. Like, you know, I don't know. Of course. But again, that's probably where their minds were. We're in the mid center of the country where it's supposed to be safe. It's supposed to be quiet. Again, the in cold blood, clutter family murders haven't even happened yet, which set off, like, you know, panic everywhere. Mhmm. So you can see why people are just like, that doesn't happen. Like, people will just murder people. Yeah. What are you talking about? This is a quiet town where nothing ever happens. Yeah. Steve Morrison is not voicing anything over. He isn't yet. Now November 16th marked the beginning of deer hunting season in Washara County. And this was a time when nearly every man and boy ventured out into the woods, hoping to bag the 1st deer of the season. And with so many people headed out to the woods, Ed figured the town would be virtually empty. So it was the perfect time to put his plan into motion. Oh, after he finished his breakfast around 8 AM, he loaded a large gas can into his 1947 Sedan and he headed into town, stopped at a gas station to fill the can, and from there he headed over to his destination, which was Warden's Hardware and Implement Store. Now, Warden's had been a Plainfield institution since the 18 nineties. And in 1957, it was owned and operated by 58 year old Bernice Warden, who was she was the daughter of the original owners. She would occasionally be assisted by her son, Frank, because Bernice herself had expanded the business so much Hell, yeah. That she needed help running the place because she was such a badass business lady. Love that. And like I Bernice was a badass all around. She was a business beast. Like I said, expanded the whole business, needed actually extra help, and she was a loving grandmother. Aw. She was known to be in
