Burst the cancer, but that's another story. And, you know, there was there was financials involved, but a lot of people didn't really care about the money. It was the fact that they were betrayed so deeply by Amanda. And it was people that, you know, raised money for her. They did, like, rallies for her. She went on the pitch in different NFL games and stood there with other survivors. So she betrayed all those people. They're all victims of her lives because that they're sat there really having to deal with something that I can only imagine. I've been through some of my own illnesses and traumas myself, and I know how isolating it is and lonely and how how horrifically painful it is, you know, not just physically, but mentally. And she sat there fine with those people that were struggling saying she had what they had. So the the victimization is so deep. And she lied to her family too. Right? So you include her family as her victims. Yeah. She had a a stepdaughter, which was not the daughter who had cancer, but the younger sister of the girl that had cancer. So it was Corey's daughter, and Amanda called her her bonus daughter. And, you know, she was part of it. She didn't realize, but Amanda ended up using her cancer with Corey in a custody battle to get Jessa, who's the the youngest daughter, away from her mom, and she ended up living with Amanda and Corey. And she was taken away from her, her own mother, and, you know, never mind what that did to her mother, Elita. But the fact that she was part of these lies, and she started to question it after a while. And she felt, you know, she was just a young girl. What was she supposed to do? You know, it's so deep in terms of victimization, so it was a really good question. And then also people raised money for her.

BONUS: Nobody believed me: pushed out co-worker on Amanda the painful Principal

Because you went for the job as a teacher. Right? Yes. At the end of the school year, so my 2nd year teaching, at end of that year, they introduced Amanda to the staff that she walked into the interview. She was from a very prestigious school, another Christian school that was in San Jose. She was walking in to get a job as a middle school teacher and they found out that she worked at this prestigious school and they offered her the position of the elementary principal. They said because of her experience at that school, that it made her a perfect candidate. And they told us all, they said, you know, she mailed the interview when she walked out. We were high fiving and said, that's our new elementary principal, and they're telling our entire staff this. And I thought, wow, that's so weird because when I got the job, they even though it's a tiny school, I mean, it's a lengthy process to get a job as a teacher there and they're telling the staff that it's like, oh, we're high you know, administration's high fiving. As Amanda comes in and nails her interview where she came in as a teacher and got an elementary principal job. So we were kind of all a little bit shocked to say the least, but she seemed really sweet at first, super bubbly. She was younger. She was a young mom. I remember the very first time we went over and talked to her. And it's a group of teachers and I, and we had asked her like, oh, so what grades have you taught? And she started naming all these grades. They were a bunch of grades in lower elementary, upper elementary, and as well as middle school. And then she also said she had her master's. I'm like and at first, I got excited because I thought, wow. I mean, she has so much experience. She's gonna be so knowledgeable about, you know, what it feels like to be a teacher in a classroom as well as bringing that knowledge into administration. And then I walked away and I thought I started doing the math and I started thinking, well, wait, she's only, you know, like 30 years old. How in the world could she teach all of those grades as well as get her master's? And like, none of this really makes sense. So that was kind of the first
Ice commander listeners. It's Charlie again, and I'm joined by Nancy in the studio. We have been contacted by so many different people, and 2 people that we wanted to get on the line to speak to us to tell a bit more is Kenrick and Lennon. Kenrick was a supervisor of the resident advisors at the San Jose State University, and it was around 2,006, 2,007, which is when Amanda was at the university, and she was a resident adviser. As somebody that's English, I've had to learn what resident adviser is, and Lennon was a resident advisor with Amanda. So, Kenrick, you were the supervisor that looked after the resident advisers. Can you well, welcome along, and thank you so much. Can you describe to us a little bit about that role? Sure. Well, my role was the assistant director of the department, and with that came a bunch of, different tasks. I actually supervised her supervisor. But the interesting thing about Amanda, she was very involved, in our program. So she worked for for me in my office as a student assistant. She also worked as an RA for a couple of years, and then she later became a graduate assistant, which was a level of supervisor amongst the staff members. Right? So she did that for about a a semester. And in my role, I I hired and trained all of the staff. I did staff conduct and a variety of different things throughout the department. So you

The case against her, one of the things they they put in there was that, you know, members of support group had contacted them about her being part of the group and spending time with them and spending their last hours family you know, she infiltrated these groups. And just when you said then people spending their last hours Yeah. That was put in the indictment. These blog posts that we chose for a reason are actually reflected in the transcripts of your court case. And when I say your court case, it was Amanda who took you to court Yes. And tried to get a restraining order against you because you were I was a problem. You were a problem Yeah. In her side. And, you know, she kind of saw you as the enemy and called you the enemy, and and you're the reason why this has all happened to her according to her. So in these transcripts, can you explain to us a little bit I know we talked about it in this series, but what that court case was like. I I mean, she took you to court. You had to go and stand in court, and she tried to ruin your credibility. Yes. So the she filed for civil harassment, which you, for us, we had to go in front I had to go in front of, a judge for a hearing. So it was a 2 day hearing after about 6 months of whatever she you know, delays and everything. And, yeah. And you had to go and stand in court Yep. And testify and and be under oath as well as so did she and and Corey, her husband. You know, we didn't know what to expect from the judge. So, yeah, there's this this knots in your stomach feeling while you're waiting. And what did the judge rule? The judge said the found there's no no reason for me to be restrained and that nothing was granted. There was no restraining order. So we've got I mean, the there's a 200 page.
